The
Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA) of Augusta, Georgia
(chartered in 1927), is one of the southeast’s oldest Asian organizations. We
are a non-profit, non-political organization whose mission is to provide
fellowship for our members and to promote public awareness of our Chinese
culture and heritage. The 70 plus families in the CCBA represent a range of
first to sixth generation Chinese Americans. Membership is open to all persons
interested in Chinese culture.
Activities include an annual Chinese New Year Dinner and Program, monthly
potluck socials, an annual picnic, adult and children cultural classes, and
special events during the year. The CCBA founded and sponsors Children
from China,
a support group for
the growing number of families in the Augusta area adopting children from China.
