Survey on the Status and Needs of today’s Chinese American population

Dear Members,

Columbia University and the Committee of 100 (a non-partisan leadership organization of prominent Chinese Americans in business, government, academia, and the arts; see committee100.org ) have developed a nationwide survey focused on Chinese Americans, to gather information that will shed light on the status and needs of today’s Chinese American population. The CCBA has been invited to be a partner.

If you haven’t seen or taken this survey yet, and you identify as ethnically Chinese, are 18 years or older, and are currently living in the United States, you are eligible to take the survey. The survey closes on December 21st.

This is the first survey of its kind that is designed to focus specifically on Chinese Americans; the survey findings will be used to inform policymakers and the public on policies and programs that can better serve the needs of Chinese American communities across the country. Your participation is completely voluntary and you can refuse to answer any questions. All responses will be reported anonymously.

The survey is available in English, traditional Chinese, and simplified Chinese. Attached are two one-page flyers (one in English and one in Chinese) that provide more background information on the survey. When you open the flyer, you can access the survey by clicking on the link (“Click here to access the survey”). You can then select to answer the survey in English or Chinese.

Please feel free to reach out to swchinesesurvey@columbia.edu  with any questions. If you have already taken the survey and would like to further help this effort, please share the survey with your family, friends, and community.

The survey closes on December 21.
