In June of 2019, the CCBA was honored to be asked by Herb Tam, museum curator, to loan them an item of historical significance for the MOCA’s 2020 Gatherings Exhibit in New York City.
After pondering about a suitable artifact that would represent our organization and our proud history the board decided that our framed 1927 Charter granted by the State of Georgia would be the perfect fit.
MOCA partnered with 28 Chinese American cultural organizations across North America for this exhibit. Among their goals are to preserve stories and artifacts from Chinese Americans. A few of our members were able to visit the museum in New York and take a tour.
By the way, 2027 will mark our 100th anniversary!
